How to Never Miss a Workout!

Make a plan and write it down.

“A goal without a plan is just a dream”

If you want to start exercising more, it’s a good idea to create a plan. This will give you the best chance to suceed. If you feel like you don’t have enough hours in the day to get everything in, create a weekly day planner and block out the hours in the day for all the commitments you have.

  • The hours you are at work (including commute time)

  • Any out of work commitments (taking the kids to swim lessons etc)

  • Any appointment/ social events you have planned

  • Finally schedule in your exercise time - aiming for x3 sessions per week (try to aim for every other day and an extra session as back up in case you miss a day)

Having it written down so you can see it gives you accountability and helps you identify what you need to do and what time you have available. Once you have completed each task, tick it off, with this in place you’re less likely to put things off and it gets you on your way to achieving your goals. Ticking tasks off the list is a rewarding way to help keep you motivated too!
